Boys and girls cross country
Results from the 2022 Division II CIF State Championships Saturday, Nov. 26: The varsity girls team finished 12th out of 24 teams in the Division II meet with a score of 306. Junior Denise Jie Yi Chen (18:19.4) placed 17th, freshman Isla Bulmer (19:00.5) was 35th, sophomore Caitlin Smith (19:36.5) 72nd, junior Alexa Gossett (19:55.1) 98th and freshman Joey. I-Le Chen (21:27.7) 162.
The boys did not qualify for the national competition.

Girls tennis
On Wednesday, Nov. 30, senior singles player Sydney La competed in the Division I CIF-Southern Section Individual Championship Tournament. Results were available after press time but are available at cifss.org/sports/girls-tennis.
Boys basketball.
The team competed in the Northview Tournament on Wednesday, November 30 against Covina; Thursday, Dec. 1, vs. Damien; and Friday, Dec. 2 against host Northview. Results were not available until press time.
The Pack will host Diamond Ranch in a non-league game on Saturday, December 10th at 5:00 p.m.
Girls basketball
On Monday, Nov. 28, Claremont won a non-league game 48-42 at Walnut.
The Pack returns to action on Tuesday, December 6 when it hosts the Claremont/Bonita tournament. Its first game is against Temecula Valley at 6:30 p.m., followed by Chino Hills at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8. The team will play Walnut on Friday, December 9 at 7:30 p.m.
Boys’ football
On Tuesday, Nov. 22, Claremont traveled to Azusa and won 9-0 to open the preseason. The team then hosted Chaffey on Tuesday, Nov. 29 and earned a 2-0 win. The Pack will host Ganesh on Friday, December 2nd.
The team will play a non-league game against Bishop Amat on Tuesday, December 6th, followed by another home game against Riverside Poly on Friday, December 9th. Both games will start at 17:30.
Girls’ football
On Thursday, December 8, the team will host Etiwanda at 5:30 p.m.
Girls water polo
The Wolfpack will begin their season by hosting the Claremont Tournament. Play begins Friday, Dec. 2 against San Diego West Hills at 1 p.m., and continues against San Dimas at 3 p.m. Friday’s results will determine who CHS will play on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Boys and girls wrestling
On Saturday, December 3, the boys will travel to Los Osos for the Tom Bravo Classic. The first game is scheduled for 9. The girls will travel to Valencia High School in Placentia for the Valencia Tournament starting at 10.
On Friday, December 9, the boys team will travel to Gabrielino for the Gabrielino tournament at 3:00 p.m. On Saturday, December 10, the girls will travel to Mater Dei for the Mater Dei Tournament at 9:00 a.m.

Division V CIF-State Championship Results Saturday, Nov. 26: Freshman Nicole Samson (19:30.9) finished 30th out of 198 runners.
The boys missed qualifying for the national competition.

After a week off, the Gauls returned to their home court against Rio Hondo Prep on Thursday, Dec. 1, as of press time to begin the Webb Classic Invitational. Opponents on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd are TBD.
On Tuesday, December 6, the Gauls will travel to United Christian Academy for a non-league game at 7:00 p.m.
Girls basketball
On Monday, Nov. 28, Webb defeated New Harvest Christian 51-26 to open the Cougar Classic. Tournament play continued after press time on Wednesday, Nov. 30 against Pomona Catholic and Friday, Dec. 2 against Rio Hondo Prep.
On Tuesday, Dec. 6, the Gallic will host Gary to tip in the Rick White Classic at 6 p.m. Play continues against Pilibos on Thursday, December 8th and San Gabriel Mission on Friday, December 9th. Both games are scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
Boys’ football
On Tuesday, Nov. 29, Webb traveled to Covina and lost 6-1. The team hosted Gladstone after press time on Thursday, December 1st.
The Gauls will travel to Cantwell’s Sacred Heart of Mary on Tuesday, December 6 for a non-league game.
Girls’ football
Webb opened preseason play on Tuesday, November 29 at Rowland with a 4-0 win. The team returned to action on Saturday, December 3rd at home against Azusa at 2 p.m
On Tuesday, December 6, the Gauls will host Arcadia in a non-league match at 3:15 p.m.
Girls water polo
On Tuesday, Nov. 29, the Gallic hosted Sierra Vista in a non-league game and won 19-15. The team then took part in the Claremont Tournament, beginning play on Friday, December 2nd at 4:00 PM against Warren. The team then took on Ramona at 6 p.m. Friday’s results will determine which Webb will play on Saturday, December 3rd.
Webb will host Muir for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 6 at 3:30 p.m. The next day, the team will host Rowland in a non-league game at 4:00 p.m.
Boys wrestling
The team will open the season with a non-league contest on Friday, December 2nd at Hamilton at 4 p.m. The team will travel to Burbank on Tuesday, December 6th for a 4:30 p.m.
