Marvel’s Midnight Dogs is a game of two parts. The first and easiest to demonstrate is the tactical game. You and your team of heroes will go on various missions using cards in a turn-based battle system to fight against Lilith and foil her evil plan. The second half of the game takes place between these missions in your hub area called the Abbey. Here you can interact with your team, find items, pet some animals and explore secrets.
As you explore, you come across some places that you just can’t access. They can be blocked by simple doors, broken bridges, or cracked walls. Forget being a superhero and friends with the likes of Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Spider-Man who could easily bypass them for you. The only way to get around them is to learn all four power words. Here’s how you can unlock them all Marvel’s Midnight Dogs.
How to get Open Word of Power
The first power word you can get is Open. This will allow you to – surprise – open the doors around the abbey.
Step 1: Start Agatha’s quest at the Abbey.
Step 2: Go to the Blood Gate and go inside.
Step 3: Place the Moon Seal on the pedestal and win the battle.
Step 4: Once it’s done, you’ll unlock Open.
How to get Reveal Word of Power
The other power word is Reveal, which interestingly not only shows hidden Arcane keys, but also repairs broken bridges by standing on special icons.
Step 1: Collect all the Elemental Bars to get the Moon Seal.
Step 2: Use the Moon Seal to unlock the blood door next to the standing stones to start the challenge.
Step 3: Win by surviving four turns and defeating 16 enemies to unlock the Reveal.
How to gain the power to clear the word
Purify is more of a stepping stone than anything else, as it simply removes the vines in some areas. However, it is very necessary to unlock the next Power Word and cannot be skipped.
Step 1: Head to Valley of the Winds and Hiram Shaw Church.
Step 2: Use your power words to access the backyard area and inspect the ward.
Step 3: Progress through the story until you have met and fought Venom and collected the specimen.
Step 4: Visit each of the three Witch Covens and collect items from each.
Step 5: Give them to Agatha and then collect the Moon Seal.
Step 6: Use the Moon Seal at the next Blood Gate to start the next challenge and unlock Purify.
How to get Break Word of Power
The last power word is Break. This word will allow you to remove any cracked and damaged walls blocking your path, fully opening up the rest of the map.
Step 1: Talk to Agatha.
Step 2: Collect three Moon Seal Shards and a flower and bring them to Agatha.
Step 3: Take the completed Moon Seal to the final Blood Gate.
Step 4: Complete the final and hardest challenge to unlock your final power word.
