After Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongio began talking to each other on social media, it sparked furious rumors that the pair were dating. It was noted that Millie started liking Jake’s Instagram posts, which only got tongues wagging a little more when he returned the likes in kind.

Jake Bongiovi, who bears a striking resemblance to his father, grew up in New Jersey. In high school he attended The Pennington School and made a name for himself not by being the son of Bon Jovi, but by leading students in an organized walk.
The walkout took place in 2018, shortly after Nikolas Cruz brutally opened fire on students and staff at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, killing a total of 17 people. Millie’s boyfriend Bobby Brown was 15 years old when he and his classmate Rickey Eng saw in an Instagram post that there was going to be a nationwide student walkout.
“Enough is enough. It’s happened too many times that we’ve watched,” he told Bongio at the time. “And this time we can’t let it go.” They didn’t, and they got the full support of The Pennington School administration.
So with Bongio and Eng leading the way, nearly 400 of the school’s 500 students left. They gathered in the gym to read the names of the Parkland victims. Five days before this peaceful departure, the campus was locked down because a suspicious person was lurking in a nearby school.
Speaking about the decision to help the student leave with Eng, Millie’s friend Bobby Brown said at the time that he was influenced by the passion of his peers. He said at the time, and remember, the young Bongiovi was only 15 at the time: “His (his father, Jon Bon Jovi) was kind of an inspiration to me as well, but I think it was really special, the students inspired each other,” he said Bongio. “Our bravery springs from each other.”
