EXCLUSIVE: Paul Ben-Victor (Plane) and Mercedes Varnado (The Mandalorian) are the latest additions to the action thriller cast Collective by Yale Entertainment. They join a cast that also includes Lucas Till, Ruby Rose, Tyrese Gibson and Don Johnson, as previously announced.
In the recently wrapped film from director Tom DeNucci, a group of righteous killers called The Collective targets a highly sophisticated human trafficking ring backed by a network of untouchable billionaires. With their backs against the wall, The Collective has no choice but to put their most important mission in the hands of rookie assassin Sam Alexander (Till). What he lacks in experience, he makes up for with wit, courage and a keen ability to improvise in the most dangerous situations. Helping him on his way are Hugo (Gibson) and Liam (Johnson), former CIA agents turned villains. They meet Daisy (Rose), the cunning CEO of this evil, secret organization. Sam has to prove to himself, Liam, and Hugo that he’s collective material on this life-or-death, take-no-prisoners mission.
Ben-Victor will play Miro Lindell, who serves as an auctioneer for a seedy underground cabal of billionaires bidding on human lives. His back is constantly being watched by the company’s pit-bull blade and security chief Nikita (Varnado).
Matt Rogers and Jason James wrote the script, with Yale’s Jordan Yale Levine and Jordan Beckerman producing alongside Richard Switzer in association with Dawn’s Light Media. Exec producers include Ian Niles, Jason Cherubini, Shaun Sanghani, Jason Kringstein, Sabine Stener, Tara J. Martin, Scott Levenson, Alan Liebowitz, Pat Heaphy, Jeff Tussi and David Nazar. Worldwide sales will be handled by Yale’s Great Escape sales banner, led by Nick Donnermeyer.
Known for turning on series The wire and in movies like IrishBen-Victor can currently be seen starring alongside Gerard Butler in the Lionsgate action thriller, Plane. The actor is part of the Will Smith-led action thriller from Apple TV+ Emancipation and recently appeared in such series as Gravesend, Paul T. Goldman a Pam and Tommy.
Varnado is a professional wrestler and actress, known to WWE fans as Sasha Banks, who debuted in 2020 as part of the second season of the Disney+ hit. Star Wars series, The Mandalorian.
